Pfizer asks for FDA emergency authorization of COVID-19 vaccine for young kids

Vaccine shots for kids ages 5 to 11 may be available as soon as November after Pfizer and BioNTech submitted an emergency use authorization to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Thursday.
