It's no secret that jewelry makes the perfect gift. This autumn, we're shopping all of the latest unique jewelry trends to gift ourselves or someone we know.
Etsy trend expert Dayna Isom Johnson told "Good Morning America" in an email that we should "expect to see a big focus on textures" when it comes to on-trend jewelry pieces this fall.
"Shoppers have taken a liking to uneven rippled effects, hammered canyons, and stone finishes that bring a sense of depth and dimension to their pieces, be it a statement necklace or subtle studs," she said. "If you're keeping your outfit classic and simple but still want that pop, textures bring a dynamic and elevated feel to any look."
As for her personal favorite fall trend, Johnson said she loves "big bold shapes that bring together sophistication and a playfulness."
"The exaggeration creates a sense of balance in the most unexpected way, and there's nothing better than jewelry that can act almost like works of art but also bring out a sense of fun and whimsy," she said.
In addition to shopping for trends, don't forget to search for timeless pieces to maintain your sense of style.
"With trends moving as fast as they are, shoppers don't want to feel boxed in by certain fads, but instead are seeking out individuality," Johnson added. "Handmade, vintage pieces never go out of style, and there's truly something for everyone."
Considering the approaching holiday season, we also asked Johnson if she had any predictions for winter jewelry trends.
"My favorite thing about winter is the emphasis on warmth and comfort, and I think we're going to see that trickle over into jewelry and accessories this year in a big way," she responded. "Think rich tones, dark woods, even leather -- pieces that have a more old-school, lived-in charm that feel vintage and nostalgic, yet distinguished and elevated."
