Sweet new Valentine's Day specials at Krispy Kreme, Popeyes, Starbucks
A little culinary cupid is in the air and the commercialized cherub is bringing sweet deals and specialty items to celebrate all things love on Feb. 14.

Shake Shack pops up "Love Shack" dinner series
The popular fast casual burger chain is transforming its menus across seven major cities for one night only in honor of Valentine's Day, offering prix fixe tastings for either a "Swicy Date Night" or an "Umami Dinner Party."
For couples in search of a "Swicy Date Night," reservations can be made for the $80 prix fixe menu which includes two Korean Style Fried Chicken sandwiches with crispy, white-meat chicken breast coated in a spicy and sweet Gochujang glaze, sprinkled with sesame seeds and topped with white kimchi slaw, featuring Choi’s Kimchi, on a toasted potato bun. The sandwiches will be served with spicy Korean BBQ fries, spiced with kimchi seasoning and served with Korean BBQ sauce and cheese sauce on the side, plus a Gochujang caramel sauce sundae to share for dessert. Diners will have a range of soft drink choices, Shack canned wine and Shackmeister Ale.
The experience includes a reserved table for two, plates and glassware, floral arrangements, candles and live music at participating locations in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Miami, Atlanta and Chicago.
For $160 four guests can enjoy the Umami Dinner tasting menu with four Korean BBQ cheeseburgers topped with crispy sweet onions, fresh scallions and a savory, salty Korean BBQ sauce on a toasted potato bun, plus spicy Korean BBQ fries, and Gochujang caramel sauce sundaes.
Customers dining at a regular Shake Shack location or outside the seven cities participating can still enjoy the new Valentine’s Day offerings with a special promo: buy one, get one of the new limited-time Korean-style menu.
When guests order a Korean BBQ Burger or Korean Style Fried Chicken Sandwich, they’ll get a second for free. The BOGO is available nationwide for delivery online or via the Shack App.
Bojangle's
The regional fried chicken fast food restaurant is bringing back a beloved seasonal item for Valentine’s Day -- heart-shaped Bo-Berry Biscuits.
Each biscuit is made from scratch with berries baked inside and topped with a vanilla icing drizzle.
The festive treats are available individually or in a two- or six-pack formats from Feb. 5 through Feb. 18 while supplies last.
Krispy Kreme
Krispy Kreme is rolling out the red and pink carpet for its new line of heart-shaped doughnuts, complete with cute "dough-notes" dozen boxes as a nod to leaving your Valentine love notes.
The company announced four new special flavors for customers to choose from for the heart-shaped sweets:
The You Color My World Doughnut is filled with cake batter-flavored Kreme filling, dipped in red colored icing and rainbow heart blended sprinkles.
The I Love You A Choco-Lot Doughnut is filled with chocolate Kreme filling, dipped in chocolate icing and piped with a rose.
The You're Berry Sweet Doughnut is a white Kreme-filled confection that's dipped in strawberry flavored icing and sprinkles.
The Without You I'd Crumble Doughnut is filled with cookie dough flavored Kreme, dipped in chocolate icing and chocolate chip cookie crumble.
Popeye's
For three weeks only, Popeye's is offering heart-shaped strawberry biscuits, a reinvention of the fast food chain's famous buttery, flaky dough used for its signature biscuits, with a sweet strawberry twist.
The biscuit is filled with strawberry bits, topped with creamy icing and costs just $1.79 each, but may vary by location.
On Valentine's Day, $1 from each customer's pastry purchase will be directed to the Popeyes Foundation's Serving with Love initiative to support national and local nonprofits providing food to those in need.
Starbucks
The popular Seattle-based coffee chain unveiled two new drinks on Thursday hitting menus nationwide to celebrate the love-filled holiday.
First up is a Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Crème Frappuccino blended beverage that's made with java chips and meant to taste like the popular two-ingredient dessert.
Next, Starbucks created a Chocolate Hazelnut Cookie Cold Brew that's sweetened with hazelnut syrup, topped with chocolate cream cold foam and finished with chocolate cookie crumble topping.
