Jonathan Taylor Thomas reunites with 'Home Improvement' TV mom Patricia Richardson
Jonathan Taylor Thomas had a mini reunion with two of his former "Home Improvement" co-stars this week.
Thomas appeared in an Instagram photo shared by actress Patricia Richardson on Wednesday, smiling alongside Richardson, who played mom Jill Taylor on "Home Improvement," and Tarah Noah Smith, who played the fictional Taylor family's youngest son, Mark.
Thomas played the Taylor family's second eldest son, Randy.
"My other boys," Richardson captioned the post.
"Home Improvement" premiered in September 1991 on ABC and ran for eight seasons, before it ended in May 1999. The show followed Tim "The Toolman" Taylor -- played by Tim Allen -- and his family as they navigated family life, career ups and downs, and home repair mishaps in suburban Detroit.
In addition to Thomas and Smith, Zachery Ty Bryan starred as the Taylor family's eldest son, Brad. Richard Karn starred as Tim's friend and fictional "Tool Time" TV co-host Al Borland, while Pamela Anderson and Debbe Dunning played the fictional TV show's "Tool Time girl" hosts.
Earl Hindman played the Taylor family's neighbor, Wilson.
Throughout its time on television, the show earned several Emmy nominations, and in 1995, Allen won a Golden Globe for best performance by an actor in a television series (musical or comedy).
"Home Improvement" served as Thomas' breakout role, following a number of smaller roles in TV shows including "The Bradys" and "In Living Color." He remained on the sitcom through its entire eight-season run.
Thomas gained wider fame for his voice role as Simba in the 1994 Disney animated film "The Lion King" and later took on a number of roles in various TV shows and movies before stepping away to focus on his education.
He has remained largely out of the spotlight since then, taking on only a handful of limited roles across film and television.
